World Cup 2018: Mathias Jørgensen scores the fastest goal of the tournament

The 2018 World Cup is on another level. We’ve seen the defending champions go home. We’ve seen Argentina go home. Spain have gone home. Portugal have gone home and now we’ve had the fastest goal of the tournament.
Croatia and Denmark were squaring off in their last 16 fixture, and  Mathias Jørgensen did the business, finding the back of the net before the first minute was even on the clock. He scored in just 58 seconds.
Cristiano Ronaldo held the record for the 2018 edition until this happened. The Portuguese, who is now out of the World Cup, scored four minutes after kick off.
