De Gea and Rey Mysterio poses with Mourinho at united's pre season training ground

Manchester United have welcomed two key men onto their pre-season tour as both Fred and David De Gea were spotted in training yesterday.

Fred has been sidelined with an ankle injury picked up in Brazil training ahead of the World Cup but has now finally joined up with his new team-mates.

The 25-year-old, who will wear No 17 after Daley Blind’s exit, completed his move to Old Trafford from Shakhtar Donetsk for £52million earlier this summer.

De Gea was back in action following his post-World Cup holiday, although Spain failed to impress in Russia as they were knocked out by the hosts in the last 16.

Meanwhile, United welcomed yet another celebrity guest to pre-season as WWE star Rey Mysterio posed for pictures alongside Jose Mourinho and his players.

Daniel James Completes Man Utd Medical

Daniel James completed a medical at Manchester United on Thursday ahead of finalising his £18m move from Swansea, according to report. United are close to completing a deal for the 21-year-old winger and Wales international, who has one year left on his contract, as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to begin his rebuild of the club. It is understood the initial fee is worth £15m plus an additional £3m in add-ons, with personal terms already agreed. James has returned to the Wales squad preparing for their European Qualifiers against Croatia (Saturday) and Hungary (Tuesday).

Jose Mourinho Falls At Wembley As England Loses To Spain (Photos)

Jose Mourinho was hoping not to be the fall guy this week, but the Manchester United boss couldn’t help himself from tripping over at Wembley before England’s Nations League defeat to Spain. Mourinho was strolling into Club Wembley to take his position for the match when he slipped over on the concrete. The Special One dropped to the ground and had a sheepish look on his face as he clambered back up in front of the stunned crowd.
