Breaking : Emre Can completes Juventus move on free transfer

EMRE CAN has completed his move to Juventus on a free transfer after leaving Liverpool at the end of last season.

The German midfielder arrived in Turin for his medical this morning, ending months of speculation over his future.

The 24-year-old turned down a contract extension with Jurgen Klopp's side after months of talks over fresh terms.

But he decided to run down his deal, and move to the Serie A champions for nothing in a huge coup for the club.

Liverpool signed the former Bayer Leverkusen playmaker in 2014 for a modest fee.

He has developed into a key figure in midfield and was sorely missed at times as he struggled with injury this season.

Klopp has already signed Fabinho from Monaco to replace Can after several attempts to persuade his compatriot to stay.

The Brazilian international arrived in a £44million deal last month after making 225 appearances and scoring 29 goals in his five years at the Ligue 1 outfit.

He helped them to win the Ligue 1 title just over a year ago as the Principality also reached the last four of the Champions League.

The Reds have also brought in Naby Keita from RB Leipzig for £52.75m in a move which was agreed last summer.
