Jose Mourinho willing to complete deal of 31-year-old Italy international

Jose Mourinho has put pressure on the Manchester United board to complete a deal for the AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci. The Portuguese is keen to bolster his defensive options during the summer transfer window, and the 31-year-old has emerged as a top target in recent days.
The Red Devils have also expressed interest in signing Jerome Boateng, but Bayern Munich have slapped a £50million price-tag on the German’s head. Italy international could be signed for cheaper as UEFA prepare to impose sanctions on the Serie A giants for breaching Financial Fair Play Rules.
Corriere dello Sport says Jose Mourinho is a massive admirer of Leonardo Bonucci and wants Manchester United to secure his signature imminently as he knows an auction could take place which will raise his fee.
Paris Saint-Germain and local rivals Manchester City and Chelsea are mentioned as three other clubs who are eyeing moves for the Italian defender, who is rated as one of the best centre-backs in Europe and ended his seven-year stay in Turin last summer by joining Serie A rivals.
Manchester United, who finished second in the Premier League last term, are also expected to sign a left-back with Jose Mourinho having concerns about Ashley Young’s age and Luke Shaw’s ability.
