Man United interim boss OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER has been informed by Ed Woodward that he would leave the club at the end of the season regardless of how well he does, that’s the claim of journalist Mark Ogden. Jose Mourinho was  sacked after series of poor results at  Man United and Solskjaer was appointed as interim boss to replace him till the end of the season . so far, the interim boss  has led the Red Devils to a thrilling campaign, winning all five matches since his appointment. The draw for the third round of the FA Cup has been conducted this evening and the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City have discovered their fate. Chelsea  are the current holders after beating Manchester United in last seasons final and Maurizio Sarri’s men will begin the defence of their trophy against Championship side Nottinghm Forest at Stamford Bridge. Arsenal   have a long history in the FA Cup having won the competition a record 13 times – including three in the last five years – and Unai Emery will get his first taste of the cup when the north Londoners face a tricky trip to take on the winner of Solihull or Blackpool. KEVIN DE BRUYNE is poised to resume training with Manchester City in the next few days. The Belgian superstar, 27, is feeling his way back after injuring knee ligaments in training seven weeks ago. De Bruyne has privately targeted the Manchester derby at the Etihad in early November as his possible comeback from injury. And Pep Guardiola is happy with the progress his £54million midfielder is making - as he prepares to step up his comeback. Jose Mourinho was hoping not to be the fall guy this week, but the Manchester United boss couldn’t help himself from tripping over at Wembley before England’s Nations League defeat to Spain. Mourinho was strolling into Club Wembley to take his position for the match when he slipped over on the concrete. The Special One dropped to the ground and had a sheepish look on his face as he clambered back up in front of the stunned crowd. Football fans were quick to react to the incident on Twitter, with one comparing Mourinho to former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

The League Management Company and clubs in a meeting on Friday reached a consensus to end the league season after 24 games due to the worries of meeting the October 15 deadline of the Confederation of African Football for submission of its representatives for club competitions. In a statement, the LMC explained that the congested league fixtures, the Federation Cup and Enyimba’s Caf Confederation Cup campaign before reaching the unanimous agreement, which was consequently ratified by the Nigeria Football Federation. Everton defender fractures skull from collision with teammate

5 Everton defender Michael Keane suffered a hairline fracture of his skull during Saturday's draw at Bournemouth. The England centre-back clashed heads with team-mate Idrissa Gueye in injury time and was taken to hospital after six minutes of treatment on the pitch. "Michael Keane has sustained a small hairline fracture of the skull but suffered no other complications," said an  Everton statement. Keane, 25, said he must avoid head contact for three to four weeks.
